Most of the work of Rotary is performed by our clubs; but some service projects exceed the resources available in a single club. Often clubs partner up for these projects. The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International also partners with clubs and districts to help them leverage resources and The Foundation often contributes financially through grants. The Foundation also offers several types of scholarships. Students from many communities compete for these scholarships.
Coordinating this work within the district, educating clubs, and encouraging them is the work of the Foundation Committee. Each type of grant has its own dedicated Rotarians who volunteer; but the overall coordination falls to the Grants Committee.
