I wanted to extend a personal invitation to each of you and your fellow club members to attend "Grasp the Spirit" starting Thursday, May 5th and running through May 7th (see schedule below). We are honored to have both Greg Podd, Vice President of Rotary International and Zone Director of Zones 21b/27 and Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes in attendance during the event. Come and "Grasp the Spirit" of Rotary during this important event. Here is the schedule below: 


Thursday, May 5th


11:00 am - 1:00 pm - Service project and lunch @ Southwest Applied Technology College located at 757 West 800 South.

1:00 - 3:00 pm - Business meeting @ Southwest Applied Technology College

3:30 - 7:00 pm - Tour of historic trails (e.g. Spanish Trail) and Petroglyphs, followed by a chuck wagon dinner & music (Western attire suggested) (additional fee applies) OR 6:00 pm - Dinner with local Cedar City Rotarians in their home (additional fee applies)


Friday, May 6th


9:00 am - Call to order and session begins 

12:00 pm - Lunch at Heritage Center

3:30 pm - recess

5:45 pm - Reception line begins at Sharwan Smith Center, SUU

6:15 pm - "World Class" Gala @ Sharwan Smith Center Ballroom

6:30 pm - Dinner is served to include silent auction for PolioPlus

8:00 - 9:30 pm - Dallas Brass Concert @ Sharwan Smith Center Ballroom 


Saturday, May 7th


6:00 am - PolioPlus 10K run-proceeds go to PolioPlus (PDG Wally Brown has committed to pay $100 to the foundation for each Rotarian who reaches the finish line before him).  (Registration fee applies)


9:00 am - Sean D. Reyes, Utah Attorney General address


Activities continue


12:30 pm - Conference adjourns


The registration fee is only $75 plus food for Rotarians and $25 plus food for spouses/partners/guests.  Please go to or to register.  Lodging block of rooms will be held until April 5th.  And, rooms are discounted to Rotarians and range from $89 to $109.  Participating hotels include:
